The southern tip of Africa impresses with an incredible variety of landscapes. Whether it is the charming bays of the Indian Ocean, the lakes of the Lake District with a large bird world, the endless views of the 2000m high Swart and Outeniqua mountains of the Little Karoo, the fertile wine region in the southwest on the rugged mountain ridges, the Cape Peninsula National Park which contains over 6000 plant species, from geraniums to king proteas - all of this can best be explored on foot, on a bike or in a canoe. Often we sleep 2 or more nights in the same stylish guest houses and, thanks to good chefs, eat there too.
