You will meet your tour guide directly after customs clearance at the airport. Together we will embark on the approximately five-hour bus journey to Hazyview on the edge of the Kruger National Park. In the morning, you will visit the Drostdy Museum, the former seat of the district judge, and gain an insight into the life of the Boers in the 18th century. The cycling stage leads along the Breede River through a valley characterized by fruit and wine growing. You will spend your lunch break at a winery near Robertson, with the opportunity to taste some of the local wines. The escort vehicle will then take you back towards the coast to the romantic town of Hermanus, which is geographically already on the Atlantic. In October/November, it is not uncommon to see southern right whales directly from the waterfront promenade, which the "Whalecrier" usually draws attention to with his horn. The saying "the whole world in one country" is impressively proven here. In the afternoon you visit the Dorp Museum and its historical building in Stellenbosch, which will give you an insight into the life of the Afrikaners from the early 18th century onwards.
