The national parks and protected areas are still travelled by relatively few tourists and are an Eldorado for every wilderness lover. The itinerary includes plenty of time in Zambia's animal and landscape paradises, be it on numerous game drives, walking safaris or boat tours.<br \/><br \/>A special feature of this trip is the crossing of the entire Luangwa Valley as far as the North Luangwa National Park and the routing in the rarely visited areas of the Northern Circuit. Thanks to the equipment of our special four-wheel drive safari vehicles (including winches), it is possible to travel to such remote areas with a manageable level of risk. Nevertheless, weather conditions can have an influence on the itinerary. The extension in the Busanga Plains is only possible from July to October. On this nature trip, we can expect expedition-like travelling conditions, as we are partly travelling in regions that are little travelled by tourists and hardly developed.<br \/><br \/>Flexibility and team spirit are required! Overnight stays vary from good lodges to stylish tented camps (large house tents with private bathrooms) and comfortable tented accommodation. A dedicated back-up team with helpers and cook will set up the tented camps (dome tent with standing height, camp bed, mattress, pillow, bedding and towels; sanitary facilities are available in the camps). Drinking water is provided in the safari vehicle and almost all meals are included in the tour price. Picnics are mostly in the open air, breakfast and dinner are served in the accommodation\/camps - sometimes very simple and sometimes comfortable. Huge colonies of scarlet titi spend the winter on the sandy banks of the river. Besides traditional game drives, a walking safari is still the best way to get to know this wild and unspoilt nature. We undertake several game drives during the day and at night, when the chances of spotting a leopard are particularly high. We spend the night in a camp where elephants often come to nibble on the fruit of the marula trees. We spend 4 days in the South Luangwa National Park and the neighbouring, famous Nsefu sector, where wild dogs and herds of buffalo are always present. Enough time to discover the diverse wildlife along the scenic, wild Luangwa. The route over the next few days can only be travelled with our special four-wheel drive vehicles. The North Luangwa National Park is certainly a special feature of this Zambia trip. Situated at the foot of the steep Muchinga Escarpment, the North Luangwa National Park, which covers over 4,000 square kilometres, is home to thousands of wild animals. We will try to spot the buffalo herds, lions and big cats in this lonely wilderness, which is rarely visited by tourists. After crossing the Luangwa by hand-powered pontoon, we will experience the large and small animals on a game drive with an experienced ranger and our safari vehicle.
