This popular cycle tour takes you to the scenic and cultural highlights of eastern South Africa and Eswatini. Your tour guide will show you this extremely varied region on cycling stages of between 18 km and 56 km with few climbs and short hikes. You cycle along the panoramic route along the Blyde River Canyon and then go on safari in the famous Kruger National Park with its astonishing diversity of species. You will get to know the interesting culture of the friendly Swazi people before travelling on to the charming Hluhluwe\/Umfolozi National Park with the largest rhino population in the world. After a few kilometres, we leave the main track to visit a very special cultural and historical site. First by eBike, then on foot, we discover a prehistoric site of aboriginal rock paintings with a local guide. After an open-air lunch, we return to the main track and follow it to the Komati River, where today's cycling day ends. On a quiet country road, you cycle through the rural landscape past numerous kraals to a craft workshop where the beautiful Swazi candles are made to lively music. Optional dance performance by the Ashanti in the Mantenga Cultural Village. Afterwards, the tour continues to a beautiful lodge in the Ezulweni Valley. (F) There are 3 game reserves in the kingdom. In the former hunting grounds of the king, the animals have been protected since 1970. From the entrance to the Mlilwane Game Reserve, you set off on a cycling safari. Apart from crocodiles and hippos, there are no dangerous animals in this game reserve, so you go on safari on foot and by bike - an impressive experience! Zebras, blesboks, impalas, ostriches, warthogs and elands, among others, can be seen from the saddle of a bike. In the nearby Hluhluwe-iMfolozi National Park, world-famous for its successful species conservation programme for white and black rhino, you will go on a safari in an open safari vehicle. In addition to the Big 5: lion, elephant, rhino, leopard and buffalo, you will also see the beautiful lowland nyala, a species of antelope native to the area. There is a bush picnic on the way. At the park exit, we get back on our bikes. The slightly hilly road takes us past Zulu villages to the town of Mtubatuba. Short transfer to the sea. For the next two nights, you will stay in a beautiful 4* guesthouse in the seaside resort of St Lucia. The town is located directly on the UNESCO World Heritage Site iSimangaliso Wetland Park.
