The varied route leads leisurely through the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Cape Nama, with no more than a 7% gradient uphill. Alongside fascinating proteas and ericas, you can also spot klipspringers and baboons. From the 600-metre-high pass summit, you can already see Table Mountain 70 km away. A long descent leads to the wine town of Wellington. The journey then continues by bus past many renowned vineyards to Stellenbosch.
