Tropical equatorial rainforest, varying yet rarely visited national parks, gorilla and chimpanzee trekking, tree lions, elephants, giraffes and gazelles, comfortable lodges, with the addition of friendly Ugandans \u2013 all of this characterizes this bike tour to the highlights of this varying country. Tour highlights are a boat trip on the Lake Victoria, a safari by bike in Lake Mburo National Park, Chimpanzee trekking on foot through the Kibale Forest National Park, a bike trip through the Kasenga Crater Lakes, the experience of crossing the equator in Queen Elizabeth National Park as well as safaris by bike, 4\u00d74 and boat on the Kazinga Canal, biking in Bwindi National Park and along the Buyonyi Lake and finally the Gorilla trekking with a ranger. Often, you stay for two nights at each accommodation so that you can discover all the miracles of nature in a relaxed way.<\/p>\n

Half of the bike routes are on tar roads with little traffic and good dirt roads. Your English-speaking local guide always cycles with you, the support vehicle is always nearby, transports the luggage and makes the transfers. There are also delicious picnics with fresh tropical fruit. Since you almost always spend two nights in one place - the lodges and hotels are all in a good 3* category - it gives you the opportunity to discover the many natural wonders with ample time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Travel Information<\/strong><\/p>\n

Although the trip takes place at least 1000 m above sea level, malaria prophylaxis is strongly recommended. A light to moderate level of fitness is sufficient to ride the routes, which mostly lead along dirt roads. There you undertake a safari by boat on the Kazinga Canal and observe hippo, crocodile, pelican, kingfisher, spoonbill, marabou and yellow billed stork from the water at close range.
