On this extraordinary hiking trip, real nature lovers get to know southern Africa up close. On this adventure trip, you will hike in the plant paradise at the Cape of Good Hope, climb the landmark of Cape Town - Table Mountain, climb through the impressively bizarre mountain world of the Cederberg Mountains, paddle for half a day in a canoe on the desert river Orange and hike along the second largest canyon in the world, the Fish River Canyon. Then you go to the Namib Desert to Sossusvlei. A very special experience is the 2.5 day hike on the Tok Tokkie Trail through the Namib Naukluft with two overnight stays on camp beds under the starry desert sky. After visiting the German-influenced town of Swakopmund on the cold Atlantic, you will hike on Spitzkoppe and discover the rock paintings of the Khoisan. Finally, there is a 2-day safari in the animal-rich Etosha Pan before heading to Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. The guided day hikes last between 3 and 8 hours, with a maximum gradient of 1000 meters. Good physical condition, surefootedness and hiking experience are recommended.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The hikes on this trip require a moderate level of fitness with normal surefootedness. Only a daypack with provisions and a water bottle is carried on this round trip. There is bedding on the camp beds and in the evenings you dine at a stylishly set table. A toilet and shower are available. At the travel times indicated, it is dry season everywhere except in Cape Town.
