were fantastic and really spoiled us. Everything was well organized: every day, long before sunrise, they prepared a delicious lunch buffet for us, and they were always extremely friendly. Our guide Kanto was a great guy \u2013 we could ask him anything, and he was always ready with a joke. :-) The food was very tasty and varied, also in the evenings at the hotels.\nThe hotel rooms were always fine. Comfort was sometimes a bit more basic than what we\u2019re used to in the West (especially the bathrooms), but the locations were often stunning (Ranomafana, Sahambavy, Camp Catta, the coast), and we were always warmly welcomed. The hotel we liked the least was in Ranohira \u2013 but even there we don\u2019t have real criticism, we just found it the least cozy.\nThe cycling tour was very diverse, the distances were manageable, and we could set our own pace (handy when you don\u2019t need to take other fellow travelers into account like we did :-)). The bikes were of good quality, especially the brand-new e-MTB. (The e-MTB itself was quite an attraction for the Malagasy people!)\nThe non-cycling days were also fantastic. In the national parks we always had excellent local guides. We actually saw more than other tourist groups we came across, as our guides seemed more proactive in spotting things.\nThe (yellow) minibus we used for transfers could use an upgrade. Our guide and driver had already mentioned this to their boss. For us, though, it wasn\u2019t really a problem \u2013 the seats were soft with good suspension, plenty of legroom, and wide views. Sometimes the door didn\u2019t open, and once we were stranded for a short while on a long drive, but our driver and guide always managed to solve it quickly.\nWe would recommend this trip to everyone! We might have restructured our trip if we knew how long it took to travel by car. I would like to have biked more each day with a bit more challenging routes.
