Welcome from your tour guide. Drive on the N1 via Paarl, Worcester, Robertson to Montagu. Overnight stay for 3 nights in the beautiful Montagu Country Hotel 4*. After checking into your room, you will go on a short trip together (1-2 hours) in the Breedetal (if time permits). Left-hand traffic! Dinner together and discussion of the next few days.

After breakfast, we cycle through the Kogmanskloof to Ashton. We continue on the hilly road to Drew, passing many farms. We cycle along the Breede River via Bonneivale, known for its cheese, to the Weltevrede winery (stop for lunch and wine tasting), then cycle back to Montagu. (B)

Drive past wine and fruit farms into the barren Little Karoo savannah. The contrast between the barren but succulent-rich native vegetation and the green farms couldn't be greater. The destination is the 1240 m high Rooihoogte Pass with impressive views of the Langeberg Mountains. There we turn around and head back to Montagu. (F)

After breakfast, we cycle along the Langeberg Mountains past fruit and wine farms to the 750 m high Op die Tradouw Pass. Stop in the small Karoo village of Barrydale. We cycle through the beautiful Tradouw Gorge, which is home to a variety of endemic protea and heather species, to the mission village of Suurbraak and then past fertile pastures to Buffeljagsrivier. We then travel by bus to the seaside resort of Gordon's Bay. We spend the night in a charming guesthouse right on the beach. There are a number of restaurants in the area. (B)

Drive from the guesthouse directly along the Atlantic Ocean to Rooi Els, with the Cape Peninsula opposite always in view. Through beautiful Cape Fynbos we go to Betty's Bay to a breeding ground for African penguins. From Betty's Bay we continue to the Kleinmond Lagoon. After a break we turn around there and drive back to Gordon's Bay. Then transfer to Cape Town. Accommodation for 2 nights is in the beautiful Bantry Bay All Suites Hotel 4* just 100 m from the sea. Suggestion for dinner is the "Africa Café", which offers specialties from various African countries. (B)

After breakfast, transfer to Simon's Town. From there, start the bike tour along the eastern side of the peninsula to the Cape of Good Hope. On the way through the national park, you may see ostriches, mountain zebras, eland antelopes and bundbucks. After the photo stop at the Cape, a short drive up to Cape Point. Continue via Scarborough and Kommetjie to Noordhoek. This is where Chapman's Peak Drive begins, rightly the most spectacular stretch of coast in the country. Continue via Hout Bay to Camps Bay and back to the hotel. (B)

After breakfast and depending on the weather, drive up the 1087 m high Table Mountain (not included). Fantastic view of the city and distant mountain peaks.
